"…sizzling grooves, poignant lyrics and haunting melody with a bright, joyful vibe that transfers immediately to the audience.

Earthy, stimulating music"

An award winning songwriter, poet and actor, Peter Healy is a multi talented writer and performer with a career spanning radio, TV, film, theatre and music. He has worked both in front of and behind the camera, and shared the stage with some of Australia’s finest blues & roots musicians, including Phil Emmanuel, Matt Corcoran and Phil Manning to name a few. He has also supported the likes of Tim Freedman (The Whitlams) and Rick Price.

Adding to his career achievements are numerous production credits and a vast career in all facets of radio including talkback & music shows and programming, theatrical skits, comedy & politics.

Pete's lyrics and poetry reflect well the human condition. Topics are as diverse as love and love lost, through to planetary degradation and tropical fruit. Everyday events are turned into shiny gems, politicians and policy makers given an often necessary serve, and all of us are treated to a poetic and at times humorous wake up call.

Crossing the boundaries of genres from country to jazz, blues / roots and funk, with all things in between, Peter Healy is one of the most versatile artists around today.

"Music can touch people at a primal level - evoking different emotions and triggering memories of particular places and times.

Music is such a part of our emotional makeup - it can make you patriotic, it can make you want to fight,

it can make you want to cry"
