Join the show as we Countdown through the Soundtrack of your life from the legendary years of 1963 through to 1982; the golden era of popular music. The 6-piece band is a group of seasoned professional musicians who play the greatest songs of the era with humour, dedication and enthusiasm for the genre. The song list below tells the story. This is the music that Pirate Radio stations across Europe played in defiance of the censorship prohibiting Pop & Rock music being played on popular radio, thereby eventually forcing mainstream radio across the world to play the songs that made up the Soundtrack of our lives! Utilising the timeless music of the 1963 to 1982 'Era of Rock' in an all new way, John Brownrigg has created an entertainment masterpiece. Using the best music in the world, a very talented cast of musicians and singers and an enthusiasm for fun in presentation and authenticity in the music that is infectious. The show 'ROCK THE BOAT' counts down through the years that made rock music a living legend. The show is presented in 2 x 60 minute sets. It’s a winner as a dinner show, cabaret or concert performance. A completely self contained package; the show consists of 6 performer/musician/singers. It comes with its own back-drops, props and costuming and is self delivered. Great music (check out the song list!) lots of laughs, authentic costumes; with audience involvement and sing-along this show is a nostalgic dream for baby boomers through to Generation X. John Brownrigg has been leading and presenting ‘show bands’ for over 3 decades across Australia, New Zealand and in the UK.
